Anna Verbsky Sagami lives in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. She is a mother of two children, a self-taught artist, and started AVS Stained Glass in 1992, for many years she focused on custom work for homes and businesses. Working on church windows and restoring church windows were the most challenging.
After years of custom work and teaching she decided to focus on designing books. The first book was published in 1999 by CKE Publications Building with Bevels. The second book Building with Bevels II by CKE Publications was released in 2001. Designing the majority of the patterns in 300 Stained Glass Cabinet Door Designs the book was released in 2002 and remains one of the top selling Stained Glass Books in the industry. Anna Started Design-A-Way in 2003 as a wholesale source for Stained and Art Glass Books, distributing
to wholesale companies throughout the world.
A Good Friend Lisa Aumann showed Anna how to make jewelry as a hobby and in the year 2005 the book 500 Earrings - The Great Picture Book was released. Playing around with beads Anna designed a line of Magnetic jewelry that has EXPLODED! The bracelets are the #1 selling bracelet in the Midwest! A company suggested that Design-A-Way be pubished in Gift Beat (a publications for retail stores, letting them know what's HOT and what's NOT) She was published in the July issue and stores throughout the U.S. are
calling & placing their orders.
Anna has about 25 part-time people in Prairie du Sac, WI working for her. It is important to her that this line of Jewelry be made in the U.S. and knowing she is helping people in her community is a good feeling.
