Anna Verbsky Sagami lives in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. She is a mother of two children, a self-taught artist, and started AVS Stained Glass in 1992, For the last eleven years she focused on custom work for homes and businesses. Working on church windows and restoring church windows were the most challenging.

After years of custom work and teaching she decided to focus on designing books. The first book was published in 1999 by CKE Publications Building with Bevels. The second book Building with Bevels II by CKE Publications was released in 2001. The year 2001-2002 was the most challenging; she decided to build her dream home, which took an enormous amount of time and labor. During that time she worked with the Vinery Stained Glass Studio and designed the book 300 Stained Glass Cabinet Door Designs. This book turned out to be very successful and Anna decided to start her own publishing company.

The fall of 2003 AVS Stained Glass was changed to Design-A-Way Publications LLC. Anna has released 2 new books under Design-A-Way: Glass Angels and Garden Angels and Accents. Anna's goal is to design/publish 2-3 books a year.
